PMC CCM & Inspection Services for Design-Build Accessibility Upgrade at Four Stations
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“MTA”), acting by and through MTA Construction and Development Company (“MTA C&D”), seeks to engage a consultant organization (the “Consultant”) to provide Program Management Consultant, Construction Management, and Design Compliance Services (collectively, “PMC Services”) to assist MTA C&D in administering, managing, overseeing, and coordinating the accessibility upgrades at eight stations in the various Boroughs of NYC (the “Project”). InfoTran, Engineers, P.C. as a sub-consultant is providing Project Management Consultant Services (PMC)/Consultant Construction Management and Inspection Services for Design-Build Contract for Accessibility Upgrade at Four (4) Stations.
The scope of work includes administering and overseeing accessibility upgrades at eight stations in various Boroughs of NYC. The Project will install ADA-compliant elevators at all Stations and will perform state of good repair work at selected Stations. Installing elevators per station depending on platform configuration. Major structural and excavation work for expanding station envelope and/or mezzanines to accommodate the elevators. Extending and re-framing of platforms and/or mezzanines, at above or below grade stations for construction of new elevator machine rooms, elevator shafts expanded fare control areas, and/or displacement of station facilities. Upgrading electrical power to the station to support additional elevators and new elevator machine rooms. Upgrading station communications systems to support fire alarm, intercom, and CCTV systems incorporated into new elevators. Relocating of existing public utilities in street and transit utilities in platforms and mezzanines. Reconstructing of entire platform edges and/or reconstructing of ADA boarding areas. Re-aligning Track with new platform edges.
Infotran scope also includes review engineering drawings and scopes for issues of Environmental concern- lead, asbestos, contaminated soil, storm water permitting, tanks, and waste disposal etc. Preparation of Environmental scope/guidelines for inclusion in contract specs for construction tasks. On-going guidance on Environmental issues as they arise during construction. Review of waste management plan and dust & noise control plan. Preparation of Environmental Assessments for project profiles, conduct field trips to oversee the contractor and review contractor submittals.
