CCM & Inspection Services for Staten Island Railway UHF T- Band Radio System Replacement in Staten Island
The project will provide Consultant Construction Management to assist MTA C&D in administering, managing, overseeing, and coordinating the construction and closeout phases of the Staten Island Railway (SIR) UHF T-Band Radio Replacement.
The scope includes, furnishing, installing, configuring, optimizing, testing, and placing in operation of a new 800 MHz radio system for Staten Island Railway (SIR) that will operate on three (3) 800 MHz channels licensed to the MTA. At 331 Bay Street, the Contractor shall connect to the existing fiber cable. The new base station and control equipment shall be installed along the right of way, at the eight (8) locations – St. George Terminal, Clifton Station, Brady Central Instrument Location, New Dorp Station, Bay Terrace Location, Annadale Station, Pleasant Plains Station, & Arthur Kill Station. The work will include, furnishing and installing radio sheds, monopoles, antennas and related foundation and utilities work.
INFOTRAN as a subconsultant will perform daily surveillance and inspections to verify that the work of the contractors is being completed in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents including approved sketches. Prepare daily inspection reports showing the contractors total labor force and by specific trade, the location of the construction activities, hours of work, special conditions, equipment used, and the actual work being performed. Reject work that does not conform to the requirements of the contract documents and immediately provide written notification to the MTA C&D Project CEO and the Contractor of such rejection. INFOTRAN team will perform the close out pre-final and final inspections jointly with MTA C&D and continuously update the status of incomplete work and remaining punch list.
