Construction Management for Elevator Boiler/Heating Replacement at Gowanus Houses
The scope of work for this project includes a Complete demo in place of existing Boilers and DHW system in the existing heating plant. Closure of existing fuel oil system and removal per DEC requirements. Construction of a new standalone boiler plant building on site to house new boilers, new DHW tanks, and equipment, and provide space for a maintenance garage within the building. Complete installation of new six boilers including all new controls, header, valves, pumps, and supply/return piping inside the boiler room. Connection of new boiler and DHW supply and return lines to the existing distribution system.
INFOTRAN as a subconsultant is providing inspection services in the construction phase of the project. Provides general construction administration for compliance with the Construction Contract requirements and the PLA on NYCHA’s behalf. Performs on-site inspections to check the quality of Work for conformance with Contract Documents, NYC Department of Buildings, Bureau of Electrical Controls, ConEdison, and other agency requirements having jurisdiction. Guards NYCHA against defects and deficiencies in the Work, and coordinates testing and controlled inspections by third parties with the work of the construction contractors. Ensures the conformance to regulations of public agencies, including any specific requirements of the city and/or state of jurisdiction.
