CCM Connection Oriented Ethernet Network
The project scope includes Consultant Construction Management to support the MTA in the management and inspection of the Construction and Closeout Phases of the Connection-Oriented Ethernet (“COE”) – 3C Network at 363 Passenger Stations and 24 Core Sites project B. The project is to Connect, integrate, and test the existing COE equipment at 363 stations (branch sites), Configure the COE equipment into 49 loops with 23 core locations, Connect the equipment at the branch site based on the availability and condition of the spare fibers at each branch site, Integrate and test the existing Ciena Service Delivery Switches at 151 branch sites, 127 of which are part of the Construction Contract, and 24 of which are existing COE loops, Develop Quality of Service (“QoS”) templates for no more than 20 different Ethernet Virtual Connection (“EVC”) types, Replace approximately 150,000 feet of existing single mode outside plant fiber optic cable across sixty-two (62) cable spans with new fiber 36-strand single mode outside plant fiber cable, Integrate existing IP closed circuit television cameras (10 -20 per station) at 125 stations with the existing NYPD Genetec video management system and NYCT Physical Security Information Management System.
INFOTRAN as a subconsultant will perform daily surveillance and inspections to verify that the contractors’ work is being completed per the contract documents’ requirements, including approved sketches. Prepare daily inspection reports showing the Design Builders’ total labor force the location of the construction activities, equipment used, and the actual work being performed. Reject work that does not conform to the Construction Contract Document’s requirements and immediately notify the MTA C&D PCEO and the Design-Builder of such rejection. Provide updates to the monthly Project Status Reports. The daily inspection reports shall be uploaded to the Construct ware or approved e-project software website daily. The Original paper copies of the reports shall be filed in the Project Office as project documentation.
