CCM & Inspection Services For Design-build For Two New Ac Traction Substations, New Heaven Line

MTA Construction & Development (C&D)/Metro-North Railroad (MNR) requires the services of the CCM for supervision, resident engineering, and inspection services for the Replacement and Construction of new Mamaroneck (128) and Harrison (178) on New Haven Line. The project duration is forty-seven (47) months of Construction and three (3) months of the project closeout. Rebuilding of these two autotransformer substations will improve the power supply capacity and resiliency of AC traction power supply system on the New York State portion of the New Haven Line. Currently Metro-North is transitioning to a different style of A.C. autotransformer substation for increased resiliency, weather resistance and employee safety. The current standard Metro-North design for an A.C. substation is a walk-in metal clad switchgear enclosure connected to the railroad catenary by medium voltage insulated cables.

INFOTRAN as a sub-consultant supports MNR with construction supervision and inspection services associated with the various construction activities to include coordination with the various MNR departments (Communications & Signals, Maintenance of Way, Power, Safety and Security, Environmental Compliance & Services, etc.), Con Edison, and potentially other entities not listed herein. INFOTRAN assists with oversight of Safety and coordinating Force Account support and Railroad Protective Services. Coordination and work anticipated to occur daily, nights, weekends, and around-the clock. INFOTRAN to protect the interests of Metro-North by ensuring the contractors perform their work in a timely and coordinated manner, according to the terms and conditions of the contract documents and in accordance with Metro-North’s regulations and operating requirements.
