TD/CSS for Rehabilitation of Kane Street Bridge Over I-278

The bridge carries Kane St over 278I (Brooklyn-Queens Expressway) between Hicks St E/B and Hicks St W/B. It was built in 1952 and no major rehabilitation took place since then. The bridge is 81 feet long and 61.3 feet wide and has 2 main spans with a total deck area approximately 5000 sq. ft.

INFOTRAN serves as a prime consultant and is providing total design and construction support services for the rehabilitation of NYCDOT owned Kane Street Bridge.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
• Providing Design alternatives for Rehabilitation or Replacement of Superstructure elements and Substructure elements
• Protection of all existing utilities on the bridge (replaced and relocated, if necessary) as per utility companies or other relevant agency requirements
• Providing WZTC scheme, Traffic Capacity analysis and planning for rehabilitation or replacement period, protection of existing electrical and mechanical systems attached to the bridge and/or within project, landscape architect and arborist services to design parkland spaces disturbed by construction and staging (if any), project’s budget and scheduling services
