Improvements for Elevators Veteran’s Courthouse Building

The project provides mechanical and electrical upgrades of the existing twelve (12) passenger elevators at the Veteran’s Courthouse Building located at the Essex County Hall of Records Complex, 465 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Newark. The scope is to upgrade the existing elevators to current standards and codes applicable to vertical transportation. This includes existing condition evaluation, plans for the modernization, bid documents, specifications, estimates, design documents, permitting, and construction administration.

As a sub-consultant, INFOTRAN’s responsibilities include field investigations & surveys, preliminary design, 60% level design, bid documents – final submission, bid assistance, and construction administration. INFOTRAN architects will thoroughly review all existing documentation, conduct an on-site survey, and submit a recommendation report of the current elevators, which includes assessing: Elevator jambs and doors on each floor, Elevator cab finishes, Mechanical rooms, and Code Compliance. Upon approval of recommendations develop 30%, 60%, and 100% design documents. In line with architectural scope, INFOTRAN’s responsibilities include bid assistance and construction administration for the Review of submittals, Responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Issuance of change order documentation, Preparation of punch lists, Review of contractor’s as-built drawings, and Assistance with project closeout.
