CCM Services for Internal Hardening at Six Stations

The main scope for this project was to perform flood mitigation work at six stations in the Boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, NY. The six locations include three locations in Queens (Beach 116th Street, Howard Beach, Broad Channel- Far Rockway ‘A’ line), two locations in Brooklyn (86th Street- N Line and Stillwell Avenue- D,F,N, Q Line) and one in Manhattan (148th Street- Lenox 3 Line) in accordance with NYCT Project Management Procedures and Project Management Guidelines. The scope of work differed based on each location and the available critical rooms as per the contract. The general scope of the project included material and services to remove furnish and install all the work as per the described drawings, identify temporary relocation for all the electric, security and power equipment affected by construction.

INFOTRAN as a sub-consultant provided Consultant Construction Management (CCM) services to the NYCT in the management of Resiliency project during design, construction and closeout phases of Flood Mitigation Internal Station Hardening at all six stations. The purpose of providing CCM services was to install stoplogs at the roll up doors, provide sealing at the building openings, provide new reinforce concrete column at the door, install pup stations in the yard for site drainage system, reinforce external walls, install flood panels, install box panes at all AC and CCTV cabinet openings to the different communication and signal rooms which are frequently subjected to flooding.
