INFOTRAN Welcomes Francisco Ruela, AIA, LEED AP to spearhead its firm’s architectural expansion

INFOTRAN, a growing MBE/DBE customer-centric engineering firm, is expanding its team beyond engineering and will offer expert and quality architectural services across the US. To spearhead this effort, INFOTRAN welcomes Francisco Ruela, AIA, LEED AP as a Sr. Vice President / Principal Architect. He will lead the Architectural/Facilities Design group and work closely with the executive team on project delivery, strategic planning, and business expansion in transportation and public facilities projects.

Mr. Ruela, the former President and Principal for SYSTRA A+E has more than 30 years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction, and rehabilitation in a wide range of transportation and public facilities including education and housing projects throughout the New York Metropolitan Area.  He is well-respected as a transformational leader with exceptional experience in rail stations and maintenance facilities projects. His hands-on, solution-oriented, pragmatic approach to architectural design will continue to inspire his new team as well as the next generation of architects and designers that will be mentored by Mr. Ruela.

Mr. Ruela is a registered Architect across several US States and has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His representative experience includes award-winning projects such as the New Jersey Transit Hudson-Bergen Light Rail where he was the Project Architectural Design Coordinator, and the Newark Liberty International Airport/New Jersey Transit Station where he served as the Project Design Coordinator/Project Architect. His recent experience includes the MTA New York City Transit Enhanced Station Initiative (ESI) Program where he was the Design Managing Partner for the design-build of three subway stations in Brooklyn (Package 1) and three subway stations in the Bronx and Manhattan (Package 8).

Mr. Ruela will further INFOTRAN’s mission to “build for the benefit of all” while being global conscious when providing expert and quality architectural services.
