Job Description

Since its foundation in 2007, InfoTran Engineers & Architects, P.C. (INFOTRAN) has been providing comprehensive Architectural & Engineering Design, Construction Management & Inspection, Traffic and Transportation Engineering, and Condition Assessment services to the public/private sectors in the New York Metropolitan Area.

Our expanding business is seeking an experienced licensed architect with strong experience in designing and managing publicly funded projects in the US, including transit/rail and/or K-12 and public housing is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architectural projects. Selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques
  • Leads projects from conceptual design/scope development through construction administration.
  • Lead/collaborate and guide team in developing creative design solutions.
  • Inspire creativity, critical thought, and design excellence both internally and externally.
  • Review project documents (both internal and external) for quality assurance and code compliance.
  • Preparation of reports and specifications as requested.
  • Interact and consult with clients/ Present to and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other building trades such as structural and MEP engineers.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage project deliverables.
  • Innovate new ways to raise the bar for the team and the company.
  • Assists with proposal preparation and business development activities.
  • Assists in recruiting and mentoring young designers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • New York State Licensed RA required. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred
  • Previous NYC MTA, NYC SCA, and NYCHA experience is desirable.
  • Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Able to lead project teams and drive design excellence with strong communication and relationship skills.
  • Able to prioritize assignments and maintain schedules.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, detailing, materials, and industry associated standards.
  • Experience in Contract Administration is an asset.
  • Experience in Alternative Delivery projects an asset.
  • Experience with design reviews and code compliance is an asset.
  • Proficient use of Revit and the use of it as a design and documentation tool is preferred.
